If you can imagine it, Heather can bring it to life. And if you can’t quite envision it, Heather can! With her contagious can-do attitude, ten years of experience at Mom’s and two degrees from NDSU in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design, Heather is more than capable of turning dreams and designs into stunning reality! The proof is in her impressive landscaping projects, several of which have won awards-even nationally! She is known for incorporating one-of-a-kind details unique to each client’s personality, but her real magic just might be in her ability to understand what her client wants–even when they don’t quite know it themselves! Indeed, Heather has found her calling.
1. How long at have you been at Mom’s?
10 Year and 3 months… but who's counting?
2. What is your job title/department?
Senior Designer in the Landscape Architecture division.
3. Do you have any children?
Yes. I have a 13 year old son named Isaac.
3. How about pets?
Not currently. We have tried fish and hermit crabs. They don't seem to make it past a year at our house. With that track record, we have not attempted anymore pets. My son recently came across some baby bunnies in our planter and tried to keep them. My answer still stands at currently no pets.
5. Favorite plants?
I would say all Allium Summer Beauty. It is a hardy perennial that has a cute purple flower head and even look great with they are not in bloom. They look the best in masses.
6. What's playing in your car right now?
I spend most of my time in the car on the phone, but when I'm listening to music it's a wide range of things: Rend Collective, Ed Sheeran, Mumford in Sons, Jonny Cash, and a little Pitbull.
7. TV show you never miss?
Recently I've been sucked into The 100 on Netflix.
8. Any hidden talents?
I did win a bowling championship back in the day and recently won the bowling high score for our work event a couple years ago. I’m not sure this falls into the hidden talent category but what why not.
9. What would you be doing if you weren't at your current job?
I think it would be fun to be a wedding planner. Bring on the deadlines and sparkle!
10. What super power would you like to have?
To have a body double. "Heather #2 please go clean my bathroom." :)
11. If you could only bring three things to a deserted island what would they be?
Food, water and a boat (duh).
