Aaron Calley has been designing and building backyards full time since 2018, bringing a rare blend of technical precision and creative vision to every project. His path to landscape design was anything but conventional. After earning a B.S. in Pastoral Studies from Northland International University, Aaron spent 15 years in corporate America as a Branch Operations Manager for a chemical distribution company, where he led a team of 40 to an outstanding five-year safety record without a single OSHA recordable injury. That same discipline and attention to detail now shows up in every outdoor space he creates.

Aaron’s passion for horticulture actually started young. His team won the National Junior Horticulture Contest back in 1997, where he also finished as the top individual competitor. Since transitioning to landscape design and build, he’s continued to earn recognition in the industry, including Imagine Design and Build’s Mastermind of the Year award, a top 10 finish in 2020, and being voted Best Patio by his peers in 2022.

Outside of work, Aaron has a deep love for speed and water. He races vintage oval snowmobiles in the mod stock class, and back in college he won a National Cross-Country Championship. When he’s not designing backyards or racing snowmobiles, you can usually find him surfing – water, in one form or another, has always been where he feels most at home.
