Excelsior questions, answered
Who builds custom pools in Excelsior?
Mom's Design Build designs and builds custom pools in Excelsior and across the Lake Minnetonka area. We have completed 4 projects in Excelsior, including Beau’s Forever Bloom. Every pool is designed together with the landscape, the patio and the home.
How much does an inground pool cost in Excelsior?
The cost depends on the size, the finish, the excavation and access on your lot, the decking and patio around it, and features like a spa, lighting or a water feature. We price a Excelsior pool after a design consultation, so the number reflects your property and not an average.
How long does it take to build a pool in Excelsior?
A pool project starts with design and the approvals your city requires, then excavation and construction. Minnesota's building season is short, so many Excelsior homeowners begin design in fall or winter to build in the warm months.
Do you offer landscape design in Excelsior?
Yes. We design and build the full landscape in Excelsior: planting, stone, grading, lighting, retaining walls and outdoor living areas. Our landscape designers and architects plan it together with any pool or patio.
Can you build a deck or patio in Excelsior?
Yes. We build decks, paver patios, terraces and walkways in Excelsior, using materials that hold up through Minnesota winters, and we detail them to match the architecture of your home.
Do you build outdoor kitchens and fire features in Excelsior?
Yes. We design and build outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, fire pits and pergolas in Excelsior, and plan the utilities and lighting so they are easy to use all season.
Do you do interior design and kitchen remodeling in Excelsior?
Yes. Our interior design team handles kitchen remodels, bathrooms, basements and whole-home remodeling for Excelsior homeowners, so the inside of the home matches the outside.
Do you handle permits for projects in Excelsior?
We help coordinate the permits and approvals a Excelsior project needs, and we design with local requirements in mind. Ask us about your property when we meet.
Do you work on lake and sloped properties near Excelsior?
Yes. Lakeshore, sloped and wooded lots are part of our regular work around Excelsior, and we design around the shoreline, the grade and the trees instead of fighting them.
What areas near Excelsior do you serve?
Besides Excelsior, we serve Minnetonka, Orono and Wayzata and communities across the Twin Cities. If you do not see your city, call us.
Why use one team for the pool, the landscape and the interior?
One design-build team means one plan, one schedule and one point of contact. The pool, the patio, the landscape and the home are designed to work together, in Excelsior and everywhere we build.
