Melanie Bolson

Melanie brings two decades of experience across landscape design, project management and event development to Mom’s Design Build. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Horticulture from the University of Minnesota, and has spent 12 years designing outdoor spaces, 8 years managing projects from concept to completion, and 6 years coordinating and developing events.

As Special Projects Manager and Designer, she handles the one-of-a-kind jobs, the ones with tight timelines and a lot of moving parts, and makes sure each one reflects what our clients love about their outdoor space.

When she’s not on a job site, you’ll probably find Melanie outside. She rock climbs, skydives, scuba dives, kayaks and goes white water rafting. The more adventurous, the better. Back home she trades the harness for an apron and bakes fancy desserts and artisan breads that the team would be happy to taste-test anytime. She also has a huge cactus collection that keeps growing, because she likes to bring a new one home from almost every place she travels.
