Duration: Full-time seasonal & Full-time year-round

Job Objective:

To deliver product in an efficient and safe manner, while maintaining communication with the foreman, shop manager, Director of Operations, and the vendors to assure all needs are being met.

Accountability:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Delivery Driver is accountable for the planning and coordination of all landscape deliveries.  This individual will develop delivery routes and schedules while working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.  He/She must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal communication skills, and exercise sound judgment and initiative.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Operate power driven machinery to load and unload materials

2. Communicate with co-workers and vendors in person, on the telephone, or by radio.

3. Communicate with people diverse in language ability, educational levels, and experience.

4. Ability to read and understand maps and directions

5. Keep records of work, time, and materials delivered

6. Desire to continue to improve skills and education in regards to landscape industry.

Knowledge of:

1. Materials, methods, and skills used in various landscaping common to the Midwest region a plus

2. Safety practices and procedures

3. Geographical street locations in the Twin Cities Metro Area

4. Landscaping materials a plus

 Skills Required:

1. Knowledge of tools and equipment

2. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

3. Willingness to assist landscape crews

4. Ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height.

5. Desire to learn job-related materials

6. Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time

7. Remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time

8. Travel over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces

9. Attach and disconnect equipment attachments

10. Maintain and display a positive attitude

11. A proactive approach to customer service

 Physical Characteristics:

1. If you choose to wear a hat, you may wear a Mom’s Landscaping & Design hat or visor.

   (Face the bill forward or straight back)

2. Mom’s Landscaping & Design t-shirt or polo-style shirt

3. Khaki or tan cargo pants

4. Work boots

5. NO jewelry

 Required Experience, Training, Education, Memberships, Etc.

1. Class A Drivers License

2. Good driving record

3. Demonstrated working knowledge of landscape products a plus

4. Demonstrated working knowledge of landscape equipment a plus

 Preferred Qualifications:

1. 1 -2 years driving experience

2. Organizational skills

3. Demonstrated oral and written communications skills

4. Experience in working with computer applications

Compensation:

1. Pay range $20.00 – $28.00 per hour dependent upon qualifications.
