This backyard retreat was designed to extend the home’s living space outdoors with a vaulted screened porch, stone fireplace, outdoor kitchen, custom pool and spa, and multiple gathering areas. Surrounded by mature trees and natural stone accents, the design creates a seamless connection between luxury outdoor living and the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The Brief
Extend the home’s living space outdoors — really extend it, not just add a patio — among the mature trees of an Inver Grove Heights backyard.
The Result
A vaulted screened porch, a stone fireplace, an outdoor kitchen, a custom pool and spa, and gathering areas layered through natural stone accents — luxury outdoor living stitched seamlessly into the landscape around it.

The vaulted porch
A vaulted screened porch gives the outdoors a ceiling — bug-free, rain-proof, and open to the trees.

A stone fireplace anchors the gathering side while natural stone accents tie the built spaces back to the landscape.
