Many Minnesotans remain unaware of the bounty of hardy fruit tree options available to us. In fact, most people don’t know that they can grow anything other than apples. Among the more beautiful and intriguing fruit options are apricots such as our plant of the week the “Brookcot” apricot.
Worth growing for its stunning bloom alone, “Brookcot” assumes the form of a small ornamental tree reaching 15′ tall with a 10′ spread. Late April or May flowers give rise to a bounty of fruit in early August.
