For those who love the heady fragrance of hyacinths in the spring but aren’t a big fan of their Thomas Kincaid-ian look, Spanish bluebells are a wonderful alternative. With a looser bloom structure that tops out around 16″, these easygoing bulbs paint sunny and partly shady areas caerulean blue in spring time. They dislike very heavy soils and deep shade but are otherwise undemanding.
